Milan | Prada Foundation
Urban Italy proposes an exclusive tour for all art- and design lovers to discover the story behind the Italian luxury fashion house with our Prada Foundation experience.
Both the key thought as well as the concept of Prada goes as follows; culture should help us – not only with our everyday lives, but also with making us understand how we, and all that around us, changes through philosophy, literature, music, art and science.
The Prada Foundation is based in a former distillery, dating from 1910. The so-called campus now consists of three ex-industrial buildings alongside a new tower, established by both Rem Koolhaas and OMA. Result of this renovation is a transformation of the golden outskirt, into what is now a signature complex, which inspires may art- and architecture lovers. Our unique art- and architecture experience rounds off with a appetising lunch at the retro-chic Bar Luce, as designed by Wes Anderson.
Highlights:
Signature Architecture, which used to be an industrial building in the Porta Romana district (by Rem Koolhaas/OMA)
- Exciting Collection, Prada’s permanent collection as well as its current exhibits make for an interesting and exciting trip through contemporary art
- Bar Luce, a bar that looks as if it was plucked from a film set; colour-blocked tables, quirky wallpaper, vintage pinball machine, you name it
- Private experience and events, the tour can be completely tailor made up to your requests and preferences
