Naples | PM3

PM3 isn’t an advanced stage of a woeful syndome familiar to many persons of the female sex – my first thought. Rather, it’s a smart B&B in one of Naples‘ nicer parts. A B&B Italian-style, actually more like a boutique hotel, with 2 doubles and a suite overlooking the elegant Via del Parco Margherita and/or a beautiful private garden.

The rooms are spacious and minimally appointed in total white with design furnishings. The suite, larger still and more luxurious, has a double jacuzzi tub as well as its own sitting room.

Common to all is a living area, where breakfast is served but also where guests can linger at any time of day to read or work, make coffee or a snack, even iron a shirt or two, and scan the current exhibition of works by a more or less acclaimed artist.

Prices are reasonable given the style (€110 for the doubles and €150 for the suite), and include treats such as a champagne welcome, chocs and  flowers in the rooms as well as Wi-Fi throughout and helpful hosts eager to assist with a wide range of outside services.

PM3 is located in a fine 19th-century building, a short walk from the designer shopping district; it’s surrounded by the kind of cafés and restaurants that are frequented by better-heeled Neapolitans.
