Lake Como scattered with cobblestoned hamlets, stunning lakeside villas and sailboats it has to be one if the most picturesque corners of Italy.
Let locals Glenda and Michela, lovers of the area and lake living enthusiasts, take you on a unique insider tour to meet the some of the locals and see unique lake heritage.

Start at the famous rowing club where many a world champion canottieri trained, then we move to the kitchen and family restaurant of a local fisherman and we will attend a short lesson on the fish species found in the lake and how it is prepared and conserved.

Continue with a stroll through the lovely town of San Giovanni and stop for a chat at Maestro Abele Vadacca’s art studio will allow us to know more about the painting technique and colors used by Leonardo and Raffaello.

Then on to a private organic vegetable garden, on the grounds of what is said to be the oldest building in town, owned by heir to the noble Melzi d’Eril family, where today they run a super minimal design B&B and produce extraordinary organic jams and preserves.

The tour ends at the fishing village of Loppia, close to the entrance of the historic Villa Melzi for a quick tour and social aperitif.
