Prada was established in 1913, founded by Mario Prada. It is now a luxury fashion house in Italy, that specialises in leather handbags, shoes, travel accessories, prêt-à-porter, perfumes as well as other fashion accessories.

With Urban Italy, you will visit the glamorous store, located in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Bags, shoes and clothing from the latest collections commissioned made in Great Britain as commissioned by Mario Prada are displayed on the mahogany shelves. A selection of other iconic items from Prada are also showcased.

Another branch in the building is the historic Pasticceria Marchesi, which can be found on the mezzanine floor. Here the arched windows overlook Galleria’s frescoes and mosaic floors. In the furnishing, Prada and Marchesi’s collaboration is even more apparent – with the Verde Alpi marble as well as the upholstery that are designed by Miuccia Prada herself. A part of the space houses a sophisticated tea room which serves breakfast, lunch, as well as an evening aperitif and of course, tea.

The upper floor of the building houses the so-called Osservatorio of the Prada Foundation, which is a space dedicated to various exhibitions, art installations and on top of that, it offers a beautiful view over both the Galleria and the skyline of Milan.
