Rome | Santa Cecilia

If you are a lover of music- and design you cannot miss out on our Santa Cecilia tour in Rome. Join us on a guided walk over the Ponte della Musica – the music bridge, for a behind the scenes tour of the Renzo Piano designed Auditorium, home to the prestigious Santa Cecilia music school.

The Ponte della Musica is a bridge that connects the Auditorium (Parco della Musica), the Villa Glori Park, the MAXXI museum, the Olympic Theatre (including the Foro Italico sports complex), the green area that is Monte Mario, the Museum of Engineers as well as the RAI auditorium. The bridge is made out of steel and reinforced concrete, especially reserved for pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

The Santa Cecilia music school (i.e. Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia) is one of the oldest existing musical institutions worldwide. The school was founded in 1585 and has been evolving over the past centuries – it has evolved from being an organisation intended for the local musicians to being both a modern academy as well as an international symphonic concert organisation. Their symphonic chorus and orchestra are one of the most internationally renowned ones! The Santa Cecilia music school implements professional musical training whilst maintaining a rich historical patrimony – reflecting on its own abundant multi-century history.
